The Complete Guide to Coach Bags
Coach went into business in 1941 producing men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags followed later before becoming the mainstay of the brand. Today the selection of coach handbags covers tailored shoulder bags, soft hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. In turn, this walkthrough sets out what each major bag is, when it arrived and how it is made. When a launch date is documented, it is included; several popular lines, though, have no reliable launch year on record.
As opposed to coming from an official price list, the prices here are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions can all change them. Similar names can refer to quite different designs, which is worth knowing if you are choosing your first coach bag. When searching for a Coach bag, some shoppers type “couch bag” instead, and because that word also means a sofa, furniture pages can creep into the results.
Tabby
The Tabby is a neatly structured shoulder bag built to be worn crossbody as well, featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware. Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, modeling it on a shape from Coach’s 1970s archive. Photographer Juergen Teller reportedly shot its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. Listed under the core product name Tabby Shoulder Bag, it has appeared in sizes 20, 26 and 36.
Next, in 2021, the padded Pillow Tabby followed, sold under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. For US shoppers the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, while quilted and special-edition versions were listed higher. The easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it well suited for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Family
Much nearer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby, the Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag made in natural-grain leather. After appearing on the Fall 2024 runway, it went on sale in August 2024. Reported listings point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. The 39 is described as roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, making it a workable work bag.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a different coach store bag from the shoulder styles. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 was observed selling for £350. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had jumped 160%, the Brooklyn was among the bags it named, though that figure reflects searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue Family
Coach’s structured satchel is the Rogue, fitted with top handles and a shoulder strap. After debuting on the Fall 2016 runway, it was eventually discontinued and then came back in a 2021 relaunch. Offering versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line sits at the very top of Coach’s leather range. Observed selling for $8,000, a Rogue 25 in alligator marked the highest Coach bag price observed in 2026.
Coach also offers a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, has carried restored Rogue bags. For plenty of collectors, the Rogue illustrates how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Family
The Empire Carryall, listed as the Empire Carryall Bag 34, takes an elongated, east-west top-handle shape. After being shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it went on sale in February 2025. It was sold out on its release day, fashion press reported. Softer variants, sold as Soft Empire and including a Soft Empire 40, stand apart from the structured Carryall 34.
On the UK market the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own website. With its long top-handle shape, it serves as a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. Anyone comparing listings should confirm the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.
Kisslock Variants Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Modeled on vintage coin purses, the frame clasp known as Kisslock is a motif that Coach associates with the Bonnie Cashin era. Be careful not to confuse the various bags that share the word. The Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was reported as the look that opened the Fall 2026 show with an observed price of $350. The family could predate that show, as earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings.
These days, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 turns up chiefly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style with quilted nappa leather and rivets. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue drawn from a 1973 design. A Kisslock Backpack was also presented for Fall 2026, adding yet another use of the name.
The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
Made up of newly made reissues of archive designs, The Coach Originals offers bags that are new rather than vintage. A zip-top, short-strap shoulder bag featuring a turnlock, the Swinger is based on an original design Coach dates to 1987. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, also sold With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. Based on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, meaning the two names cannot be used interchangeably.
Early 2025 reports listed other Originals such as the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. It has been reported that the Coach Originals name was already in circulation by 2020. The line suits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho Sorted: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Spanning three different products, Soho is among the most confusing names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap was launched in 2006. Rather than being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue, made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals.
By contrast, the Soho Sneaker is footwear, featured by Coach in 2025 and 2026, so it belongs among shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To distinguish the bags from the shoe, try adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search. No reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, so consult Coach’s own website before buying.
The Willow, Cassie and Juliet Lines
These three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year, so treat any date you see online with caution. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has included the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag. With a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is part of Cassie, a line of crossbody and top-handle bags.
Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website under newer style codes. Juliet is a relaxed shoulder bag in glovetanned leather, available in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Availability changes with the seasons, so confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before acting on an older review.
Observed Prices: Every Line at a Glance
Below, the main lines appear alongside their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price wherever one was reliably captured. The size of a bag, material, color and promotions all move these numbers, which are observed market prices instead of an official Coach price list. US prices exclude sales tax, but UK prices include VAT. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, whereas full-price styles can be reduced during sales.
Run as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet sells through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Coach’s head of investor relations, quoted in 2014, stated that about 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. That figure is somewhat dated, and Tapestry has since discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website remains the place to look for current-season lines.
