Although Women make nearly 50% of the Pakistani Population, they only make 24% of the workforce.
Unfortunately, even if women are able to find work, it is frequently low paid with lengthy hours.
The Abbas Foundation is working towards women empowerment by giving them opportunities to develop skills in our Abbas HunarGah Centre to learn new skills and reach their full potential.
Women Empowerment through Skills Development
The process of giving women more autonomy and decision-making power over their life is referred to as women’s empowerment. This can involve giving women the freedom to make decisions regarding their own health and well-being as well as to fully engage in the political and economic spheres. The significance of women’s empowerment lies in its potential to yield several advantages, such as amplified economic expansion and advancement, enhanced physical and mental welfare, and amplified gender parity.
Women’s empowerment has always been a major concern in Pakistan. When it comes to gender equality, women in Pakistan still confront enormous obstacles, notwithstanding some recent improvements. These difficulties include gender-based violence, discrimination, and restricted access to jobs and education.
Abbas Foundation is dedicated to empower women. Your contribution can significantly improve the lives of Pakistani women and girls by funding our HunarGah Centre.
