Help the needy

Enormous downpours and flooding have wreaked havoc and suffering throughout Pakistan. Millions of people have been displaced and hundreds of people have died. With the destruction of at least 700,000 homes, millions of people are in need of food, clean water, and shelter.

In association with UK44, the UK news and current affairs channel for the Pakistani diaspora, the Abbas Foundation is aiding the Punjab Development Network’s efforts to aid flood victims.

Families are receiving ration kits from our teams on the ground, and our goal is to reach every region of Pakistan. We make a global plea to everyone to lend a hand to the people affected by the devastating floods.

Two earthquakes have killed thousands of people in Syria and Turkey. The partners of the Abbas Foundation are offering emergency support.

Help The Homeless

There are currently 220 million people estimated to live in Pakistan. The nation’s housing and living standards are under threat due to its rapid expansion. There seems to be an increasing gap between people who live well in urban settings and those who are homeless.

An estimated 20 million people in Pakistan do not have access to adequate housing. According to statistics, 35 percent of people live in poverty, with many of them residing in slums and temporary housing. Pakistani women and children who are homeless suffer from malnourishment, lack of access to healthcare, and education.

There are a lot of homeless people or people living in subpar conditions in many places of Pakistan as a result of various natural calamities, such as earthquakes and severe floods.

Many people are now living in extreme poverty after entire villages, including hospitals and schools, were destroyed.

For more than ten years, the Abbas Foundation has been providing relief, restoring houses, and inspiring optimism. Our regional projects include the following:

creation of seven distinct model towns. This long-term project includes four vocational skill development centres, seven schools, and 361 durable shelters that can house over 4,000 people.
41 sturdy shelters are being built in isolated communities.
reconstructing and renovating school buildings to make them acceptable, safe, and accessible in order to enrol 26,000 students in education.
Over 700,000 children and their families will benefit from the construction of child development centres.

Flood Relief

Even though Pakistan was hit by the worst floods in decades more than two months ago, people are still suffering from the terrible aftermath.

In all, more than 2.2 million people have lost their houses, around 13,000 have been hurt, and the tragically high death toll now stands at 1,739 individuals.

impacted more than 33 million individuals
One in seven Pakistanis are impacted by the historic calamity, with Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Punjab being the severely afflicted regions.

Additionally severely damaged is essential infrastructure, with cascading effects that make it challenging for relief agencies to access affected areas.

There have been 400 bridge destructions and more than 13,000 miles of damaged roadways.

It is anticipated that the damage caused thus far will have cost well over $10 billion.

Millions of people are still in dire need of humanitarian assistance, and as the crisis worsens, many more families are predicted to be forced to the verge of extinction.
